The best time to visit Glacier National Park is from late May to early September. This is when the weather is the most stable and the temperatures are the most mild. However, keep in mind that due to the popularity of the park, reservations for camping and lodging should be made well in advance.

The park is located in the northwestern corner of Montana, bordering Canada. It is bisected by the Continental Divide, which runs north to south through the center of the park. To the west of the Divide are the Pacific drainage basin glaciers, while to the east are the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico drainage basin glaciers.

There are a variety of activities that you can do while visiting Glacier National Park. Some of the most popular activities include hiking, camping, fishing, and sightseeing.Hiking: There are over 700 miles (1,100 km) of hiking trails in Glacier National Park. These trails range from easy walks to strenuous hikes. Depending on your level of fitness and experience, you can find a hike that is perfect for you.Camping: There are 13 developed campgrounds in Glacier National Park with a total of over 2,700 campsites. Camping is a great way to experience all that the park has to offer. You can also find backcountry camping sites if you are looking for a more primitive experience.Fishing: Fishing is a popular activity in Glacier National Park. There are over 700 miles (1,100 km) of streams and lakes that are open to fishing. A valid Montana fishing license is required to fish in the park.Sightseeing: Glacier National Park is home to some of the most beautiful scenery in the United States. Some of the must-see sights include Going-to-the-Sun Road, Grinnell Glacier, Lake McDonald, and Many Glacier Valley.
